Safety on a Fused Spur

On a measurable.energy FCU there will be a single appliance wired in and it will trigger the safety service to 'trip' (turn off) the socket if: 

  • Current exceeds 16A for a 30 seconds.

The FCU will no longer provide power and the indicator light will flash amber.

The FCU can be untripped be performing a soft reset. To do this you hold the top button on for 5 seconds.

After holding the button for 5 seconds the impact indicator will flash to acknowledge the soft reset. This applies to both online and offline FCUs.

The FCU can also be untripped by logging into the Hub navigating to the FCU page and selecting the 'Reset Tripped Socket'' button under more information.
