Safety on a Double Socket

On a measurable.energy Double Socket a single appliance plugged in will trigger the safety service to 'trip' (turn off) the socket if: 

  • Current exceeds 16A for a 30 seconds.

When two appliances are plugged in the safety service will trigger a 'trip' if: 

  • Total current exceeds 25A for 60 seconds.

The socket will no longer provide power and the indicator light will flash amber.

The socket can be untripped be performing a soft reset. To do this you hold both buttons on the socket for 5 seconds.

After holding the button/buttons for 5 seconds the impact indicator will flash to acknowledge the soft reset. This applies to both online and offline sockets.

The socket can also be untripped by logging into the Hub navigating to the socket page and selecting the 'Reset Tripped Socket'' button under more information.
