Your dashboard

The dashboard screen is your landing page when you first log in. This screen provides you with an overview of all the plug sockets associated to you.

From the dashboard you can view the live energy data, carbon intensity and the carbon emissions from all active sockets.

Energy use

On the 'Energy use' tab, you will see the live energy consumption that comes through the plug sockets split into half hour periods. This is defaulted to the last 24 hours but you can change the timeline by clicking on the time range on the top right of the graph.

As you increase the timeline, each bar will represent a bigger time periods of energy consumption making it possible to view daily, weekly or monthly energy consumption.

To only view specific locations, click on the locations that you don't want to include in the graph.

What does the line in the graph mean?

The line on the graph represents the live carbon intensity from the National Grid.

Data exports

Exporting your data can be useful if you want to experiment and use your own calculations or comparisons.

There are two ways to do this:

  • Downloading a report.
  • Sending an email with raw data.

To do this, simply click on the file icon on the top right of your page.

Carbon emissions

On the 'Carbon emissions' tab, the energy consumption has been lined up to the carbon intensity on the grid it was at that time and plotted against the grams of CO2 per kWh.

The Carbon emissions are calculated by taking the GB grid carbon intensity (in g/kWh) and multiplying it by the energy use for that same ½ hour period. This gives us the estimated grams of CO2 emitted.

Compare

In the 'Compare' tab, you can see a comparison of energy consumption for selected periods of time. Use the clock icon on the right to select weekly, monthly or annual comparisons.
