Our plug sockets are set to 'off' by default. When a device is plugged into one of our sockets, the socket is activated and it starts supplying power to the device. The first time a device is plugged in, it may take a few seconds for the power to be supplied.
If a device is plugged in at a time where the ruleset in place is set to Off, the device will not be powered and the LED indicator will blink red.
You can manually control the plug sockets using the switches in the dashboard (seen below) or by using the buttons on the plug socket to give you two hours of power.
Once a rule is set up on the dashboard, the plug socket will continue to turn on and off per the rules in place even if it is disconnected from the internet.
What happens if there is no power?
If power is removed from the plug socket it will remain in the same state it was before the removal of power. For example, if the plug socket was on and supplying power before an electrical blackout it will be on and supplying power when the blackout ends.
If the plug socket does not connect to the internet for 30 minutes after the blackout ends it will ignore all rules and start supplying power to a device when it is plugged in.
