A socket is classed as offline when it does not have or has lost its connection to Wi-Fi. This can happen for a number of different reasons including:
-
Wi-Fi has not been set up yet
-
Wi-Fi has gone down/been changed
-
Wi-Fi signal is weak
-
Sockets have not yet been deployed to the cloud Hub
The sockets have an onboard memory that allows them to accumulate energy data while there is no Wi-Fi connection. The aggregated data memory is enough for approximately 2 weeks of data. After this time data will start to lose granularity. All data and information that the socket would have sent are stored and resynced to the Hub when the socket comes back online.
After a two week offline period, once Wi-Fi connection has been re-established it may take up to 24 hours for the offline data to appear in the Hub.
