Groups

What are Groups? 

Groups allow you to organise your sockets into categories other than the standard location groups on the Hub. Once your sockets are grouped, you can monitor and control their data collectively.

Groups can be based on appliance type, departments, occupant job roles, access, permissions and much more. 

How do I create a Group?

To create a group, navigate to the Hub and

  • Click on the Groups Icon on the top right of your screen and "Create New Group" 
  • Fill out the Name and description and add the categories. Find below an example of each of these: 
    • Name: 'Appliances'
    • Description: 'Appliance groups' 
    • Categories: 'Heaters', 'Water coolers', 'Hot water taps', 'Monitors', 'TV screens' 
  • Once created, click on 'Edit Categories'
  • Next to each socket, you will see a drop-down menu where you can select which category it belongs to.
  • Repeat this for all sockets, then click 'Update' 
  • Click on the three-dot icon that has now appeared next to your organisation name
  • Select the Group you have created, and your tree will change into a list of categories you created in the previous steps.
