All our Power Sockets and Fused Spurs work on 2.4 Ghz only.
2.4 Ghz is designed to work best with low data rates over large coverage areas. This fits perfectly with our Power Sockets as they require a low amount of data (6MB over 24 hours) and are often spread out throughout commercial buildings.
5 Ghz is designed to support higher data rates over shorter coverage areas. This is well suited to laptops/computers/tablets that need to stream large amounts of data for video calls.
All modern networking equipment supports both 2.4 and 5 Ghz as standard and enabling 2.4 Ghz is a simple toggle in the network settings.
