Can I turn off my split AC/heating system?

Split heating and cooling systems (Split Systems (Air Conditioner) : ASYG24KLCA- FUJITSU GENERAL Europe & CIS) can be safely turned off at the plug socket. When there is a split system with an indoor and outdoor unit, m.e recommend controlling the indoor unit only. This is done primarily on a Fused Spur. The system is generally run on a single-phase power supply with a fused spur on the indoor unit. Using our controls to switch these off allows us to catch key wasted energy when the original schedules and programs have been changed. The outdoor unit stays on/standby, powered by the single phase supply, maintaining compressors and pumps. The indoor unit can be turned off to save energy. The indoor units are designed to be able to be turned on/off at the plug.
